The Intercontinental Society of Home furniture Designers (ISFD) declared the winners of its fifth-yearly Innovation+Design (I+D) juried levels of competition at a “Meet the Makers” Marketplace reception held at the American Property Furnishings Hall of Fame on April 13.
“In celebration of our 5th anniversary, we ended up content to see a report variety of designer-makers sharing their resourceful work with us this year,” stated David Blair, government director of ISFD. “Once all over again, the entries confirmed a significant level of creativeness and outstanding craftsmanship creating it a obstacle for the expert panel of sector judges to narrow the list down to just eighteen specialist and university student finalists.”
The skilled winners are:
–Penina Bernstein in the Occasional Storage classification for her Wenge and Brass Altar
–Penina Bernstein in the Seating category for her Walnut & Leather Chair
–John Brogan in the Accessories category for Reverie
–Stephen Thrasher in the Occasional Tables group for his Cooper Twist Table
–Hasan Zaidi/ Stabb Layouts in the Lights category for the Constant Pendant
Student winners:
–Aidan Gough in the Lighting for his Maude I
–Sirvats Srinivasan in the Seating category for the Chrono Timeless Chair
–Ruihan (North) Sun in the Occasional Tables group for the Pu Facet Table
–Jinquan Zhu in the Occasional Storage group for the Moonlight Espresso Table
In addition, two designers’ solutions were being named Ideal of Present:
–Expert – Penina Bernstein, Occasional Storage, Wenge and Brass Altar
–Student – Aidan Gough, Lighting, Maude I
The finalists’ and winning projects will be on show at the Corridor of Fame for the duration of sector.
